About Me
  1. Resume
  2. Timeline

I am excited to apply for the
Junior Designer role on
Apple’s Marcom Design Team.

In my MFA thesis work and subsequent freelance career, I’ve tackled projects that required both big-picture thinking and meticulous execution. With a diverse professional experience beyond design, I bring both creative expertise and a level of maturity and professionalism that I believe will allow me to contribute your world-class communications.

I’ve worked 2 years on an international speaking tour, The Shiftmakers Tour, taking on many roles to contribute to and ensure continued success of the tour:

Design Responsibilities:
- Designed branding (logo, typeface, colors), presentation (pitch decks, posters) and graphics for the tour, incorprating the brand visuals to support the story and message of the tour
    • Created data visualization to demonstrate the tour impact
- Collected, directed, and created content for social media pressence for the tour
    • Posted daily recap videos across social media, increasing TikTok followers by 135% and Instagram followers by 900

Managment Roles
- Director of operations
    • Coordinated logistics, event plans, and setup with over 100 teams and 25 media hits across 7 Canadian cities
- Road Manager
    • Addressed any challenges (i.e. logistical adjustments or emotional crises)
    • Cared for the speakers mental health, energy and motivation levels

This project refined my ability to:
• Communicate quickly, clearly, and tenaciously
• Juggle many plans, timelines, threads
• Share the essence of a story

I illustrated and self-published a children’s book I Can Play Too, leading the visual direction from concept sketches through final layouts and marketing materials. One of my favorite parts of this project was creating unique touchpoints for readers to engage with the story in rich, novel ways

Plushie Doll
  • Allows thte kids to become a part of the story as they engage with the main character through play, extending lessons of teamwork and support past the book.
  • Great for kids that can’t read on their own or are two young to follow the story.

Trading Cards
  • Allows the kids to get to know and find their own connections with characters in the story.
  • I added a blank card, so kids can draw themselves as a character in the bookverse (or make up their own character).

Play Sheets
  • The games reenforce central themes from the story.
  • This is great for classroom visits.

Book Club
  • Parents or coaches can print at home to encourage discussion among their kids or players.

This project refined my ability to:
• Brainstorm and iterate rapidly, while searching for and incorporating feedback
• Produce end-to-end deliverables, balancing creative vision with practical production requirements

I’ve also developed motion-graphics content for digital campaigns, collaborating with copywriters, producers, and senior designers to adapt quickly to new creative directions.

As a freelance designer, most of my projects tackle communications: decks for tv show pitches or strategic plans or explainer videos for new companies. I love being able to help a client figure out what their story is, and then help them share it with the world.

The world is familiar with Apple, which presents an exciting challenge of finding the nuance in that story and helping people see it in a new and fresh way, as Apple and as the world evolve.

I understand that Apple’s Marcom team values
experimentation
critical thinking, and
extraordinary attention to detail—and
I’m eager to bring
my blend of
creative craftsmanship and
seasoned professionalism to your
collaborative environment.

Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss how
my background in
design
cross-industry experience, and
passion for storytelling can
contribute to Apple’s next generation of
inspiring marketing communications.
