  2. Timeline

Hi Hogarth Team,

I’m for excited to apply for this Motion Graphic Production Artist opportunity at Hogarth.

You’re welcome to explore my broader portfolio at DesigningDom.com
but I’ve highlighted a few projects
that speak directly to the role’s creative and collaborative expectations.

Role: Illustrator, Design Lead, Digital Content Creator
Project: Children’s book I Can Play Too

Deliverables: Along with the illustrations in the children’s book,
to expand the impact of the story beyond the page,
I also designed Interactive Storyworld Assets:
  • a companion plushie doll
  • a set of trading cards
  • printable discussion prompts for a bookclub
  • a play sheet with thematically-inspired games

Relevant Attributes: “strong understanding of the interactive space and animations and it’s production requirements”
Role: Freelance motion designer for Bunsen Studio
Project: Website for Related Sciences [follow link to interact with animations]
Deliverables: I animated a set of icons using After Effects, focusing on meaningful motion that aids users understanding the story of Related Sciences, and exported them as Lottie animations for seamless web integration—specifically triggered by scroll-based interactions.

Relevant Attributes:detail-oriented”, “organized
Role: Tour Manager
Project: The Shiftmaker Tour (an international speaking tour visiting hundreds of youth hockey teams across Canada and the US)
Deliverables: I coordinated with teams/coaches to organize, plan, and execute over speaking sessions, managing complex schedules and logistics while keeping the energy and morale high.

Relevant Attributes: “work closely with Interactive Developers
Role:
Database Engineer
Project: Population Health projects at Epic Systems
Deliverables:  I worked hands-on with data—extracting, cleaning, and loading it into hospital databases.
Notes: While I wasn’t designing websites, I myself worked as a developer.  That technical rigor and attention to process now inform the way I handle versioning, asset prep, and workflow documentation in design.

Relevant Attributes:  “Establishes rapport and collaborates easily”
Role: Youth, High School, Junior, and College Hockey Teams
Awards: I’ve always thrived in a collaborative space. At every level of hockey, I won the team award for being a great teammate
  • Cherry Creek High School Varsity: the Hobby Baker Award (2009)
  • Pittsburgh Hornets U18 AAA: The Player’s Player Award (2010)
  • Kenai River Brown Bears: The Brown Bear Award (2012)
  • Tufts University Athletics: The Jumbo Spirit Award (2016)
Notes: I’m eager to be back working in a studio space where I can collaborate with, learn from, and be inspired by creative coworkers

While I’m still eager to continue growing as a motion designer, I bring
more than just technical skill

My diverse work experience has allowed me to
develop an array of soft skills. I bring a
strong work ethic
clear communication, and
the ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

I’d be thrilled
to contribute to Hogarth’s creative excellence and
continue honing my craft alongside a talented team.

Thank you for taking the time to review my work.
I’d love the opportunity to speak more about how I can contribute.

Looking forward to hearing back,
:Dom
